Inspection first, always, and it is free. We photograph what we find rather than describing it, because a photo of a cracked boot or a rusted valley settles the question faster than a paragraph. Then you get a written estimate that is itemized line by line: so you can see the material tier and the decking allowance as their own numbers. You can change any of those before you sign, which is the whole point of breaking them out.
On the job itself, we tear off rather than lay over on almost every house we work on, because a layover means nobody ever looks at the deck. Bad boards get replaced as we find them, photographed one at a time, and billed against an allowance that was written into the contract before anyone climbed a ladder. That way what is under the shingles is not a negotiation on the last day.

We are a roofing and exterior contractor working out of 38 Speer Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013, in the Athenia section of Clifton. Most of our work is in 32 North Jersey towns, and most of it comes from someone who had us out before.
The pattern is the same on nearly every call. Somebody has a stain on a ceiling, or a neighbor just had a full tear-off and they are wondering about their own roof, or a storm took shingles off and the insurance adjuster is coming. We come out, get on the roof, and tell you which of those it actually is. That last part matters more than it sounds: plenty of roofs we inspect do not need replacing yet, and saying so is cheaper for us than arguing about it later.

Where We Work
Thirty-two towns across Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Union, Somerset and Warren counties, each with its own page covering the housing stock and what the local permit office expects. A replacement in Montclair is genuinely not the same job as one in Paramus: the pitches, the framing, the decking and the paperwork all differ.
