No obligation. We inspect before we quote.

Roofing is the core of what we do out of 38 Speer Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013, repair, full replacement, inspection, leaks and emergencies, on pitched residential roofs and on flat and low-slope commercial work.

Inspection Comes First

Free, and it happens before anyone quotes anything. We get on the roof and photograph what we find rather than describing it, because a photo of a cracked pipe boot or a rusted valley settles the question faster than an argument about it. It also means the estimate you get is about your roof rather than a category.

Repair

Most leaks are not the field of the roof failing. Flashing at a chimney or wall, a split pipe boot, a valley that has worn through, a handful of shingles taken off by wind, these are repairs, and a roof with years left should be repaired rather than replaced. We say so when that is the situation.

Replacement

A full tear-off down to the deck, which is how we do nearly all of them. A layover leaves the boards underneath unexamined, and on North Jersey housing stock the deck is precisely what needs looking at. Once a roof already carries two layers, the next one is a tear-off as a matter of code anyway.

Bad decking gets replaced as we find it, photographed board by board, and billed against an allowance written into the contract beforehand. Most houses are one to three days of actual roofing; steep, cut-up Victorians run to the longer end because staging takes real time on that pitch.

Emergencies

Active leaks and storm damage run on a separate track, because a wet ceiling does not wait for a quote cycle. Say so when you call (862) 318-3997.

By Town

We publish a page per town and service, because a replacement in Montclair genuinely is not the same job as one in Paramus, different pitches, different framing, different permit office. Find your town.

Beyond the Shingle Field

Roofing work regularly pulls in the pieces attached to the roof: skylights, flashing, chimneys, and the drainage at the edge. John's review on our Google profile covers a job like that, a roof and skylight replacement where he found the quote very competitive and we provided three custom-made skylights to replace the originals. If your roof has features a standard bid tends to skip past, they belong in the itemized estimate rather than in a change order after the tear-off.

For context before the inspection: most New Jersey roof repairs land between $400 and $2,000 per HomeAdvisor and Fixr, and Instant Roofer puts the 2026 New Jersey replacement average near $11,900. Our repair cost guide and replacement cost guide carry the full ranges with every source cited.

Questions We Get Asked

How do I know whether I need repair or replacement?

The inspection tells you. Leaks are frequently flashing or a boot rather than the roof being finished, and we will not sell you a replacement you do not need yet.

Why do you insist on tear-off rather than laying over?

Because a layover means nobody looks at the deck, and the deck is the part that determines whether the new roof lasts. Above two existing layers it is a code requirement anyway.

How long will my roof be open?

One to three days of actual roofing for most houses. We never open more deck than we can dry in the same day.

Do you do commercial and flat roofs?

Yes. Flat and low-slope roofs use a membrane system rather than shingle and we treat them as their own service, see flat roof repair.

What does it cost?

That depends on the roof, which is why we inspect before quoting. The estimate is itemized, so each material tier is costed on its own line and visible separately. 0% financing available and a $500 senior & military discount are available.

“I used Four Season Construction to replace my roof. Ben the owner was very clear on the roofing process, Ben is also the owner. A small company but hands on. During the project Ben took pictures of the process and kept me informed throughout the day. I was at work when the roof was installed. The job was well done, cleaned entire property and collected all the nails. I highly recommend this company.”
